Last night we were out fairly late and we arrived home after 11pm. The boys had moved furniture around and were playing some sort of ridiculous game with the yoga ball II can not remember what they called it, but it involved fighting each other. Nothing got damaged which is a good thing. I am sure that one day we are going to come home to some damage because of some ridiculous game that the two of them concocted. I was quite tired last night and truied to have a quick snack before I webt to bed, but Mel ate it all earlier in the day. Mel has always had a minimalist kick so she does not let me stock pile too much on things or she likes to tell me that we have it. When it comes to food sometimes she is right and sometimes she is not. I ended up eating half a peanut butter, honey and banana sandwich. I make a full sandwich and throw away half of it. I am kidding, I just make half a sandwich unless Xavier is around and then i will make a full sandwich. Yesterday afternoon I made a smoked meat sandwich and gave half of it to my son. I ended up going to bed early enough and this morning I woke up at 9am because of Mel’s alarm. She was going to go help her dad with something, but ended up not needing to go. I have been eating fairly well but today I released i do not like the texture of toast. I also struggled when I was naking sauces for our hotpot dinner. I could not tell if there was any flavour in any of the sauces and they have strong flavours.
Traditionally I buy random athletic clothing or electronics for my sister. The issue is that she does not always buy things for hsrself so I have to ask if it is for her or someone else. I do not always like her choices so will upgrade her choice, Historically if you see who has provided more, I think it is safe to say thats she has given more than I have. I appreciate all that she has done to support me during the cancer journey the first time and this time. Last night Mel was sharing with people how she taught the kids remotely during covid, Even now she entertains all sorts of calls wth te kids and will give them advice. For Olivier she will provide cooking advice and for Xavier investing advice. It works wonders as she is another role model for the kids whom they like to interact with. My brother is interesting in that his assistance is a bit different. He normally is a pain in the ass to get in touch with via text. Though if we are going away he always conacts us to see if we need any sort of help. If the kids call he also always answes them and will play video games with them, It is clear that he loves them more than he loves me, even though I am his eldest sibling who he should cherish and worship. He must have missed that memo.
This week I am going to be undergoing the third round of my chemo treatment and I am a bit nervous on what this will bring. Now that I know that the treatment has alcohol how will that impact the way that I react. We should be switchig to the new drug but we will see. They may need to use the older one with a slower infusion, On the bright side though, this treatment seems to be working as was the old one and there is no progressionl; Eventually we will find a cure for this and it will be awesome and if not then this is a case study on the impact of the various drugs when you can not break down alcohol. Either way it is a. great learning experience.
