We had our appointment with the oncologist today and it was quite the interesting conversation. He went over some of the symptoms that I was showing and we are going to decrease one of my drugs that I am getting by 15% to hopefully reduce the amount of neuropathy I have. He is concerned that it may become permanent if we push it too much. When we reviewed the PET scans he was incredulous that we got it and said that the results from it are inconclusive and does not add much. I am going to try and get in touch with my friend and ask him if there was a difference between my old PET scan and my current one. I do not think that it has changed much. Everyone has noticed that I have put on some weight, though it is subtle. When looking at some of my lab work, the markers that indicate peritoneal irritation and disease have decreased, which suggests that whatever we have been doing has had a positive impact at it seems that I am getting better. We had discussed that it is odd that the cancer is not showing up, and I had asked him does he know where the cancer is and he said we know that it is dispersed through the peritoneal but it might just be small amounts and under control. The area that they had done a biopsy on was also the area where we had done radiation, so it is possible that the combination of radiation, chemo and PIPAC killed any of the small cells there. Regardless things are trending postive and he suggested I might take a month off of treatment in the summer and take a vacation. I would love to travel to either the west or east coast for a vacation. We are going to increase the dosage of my neuropathy drugs to help combat the pain associated with it, but we can not stop it from occuring or building up. I think that overall the results wre trending positive and one thing that came up was that we might switch one of the drugs or treatment and include what I had received in Spain. If that happens then we might try and go back to Spain and then have them spray me internally with that drug again as it seems to have worked out well.
Mel did some work with clearing the space in the basement and her side of the office has been cleared. I started to move some of my computers with the help of Xavier and this evening I am going to clean up the server room so that we can use it properly. When we initially moved in we just tossed everything in there so it is just a jumble of cables and it is a complete mess. What I will do this time is proper cable management, but the only real issue is that the space in there is limited so it is not super fun to work in that small space. I have a KVM switch coming soon that I will use to hook up some of the servers that will go in there. I will also mount of of my small HDMI monitors for surveillance of everything in there and to provide some insights into what is going on. We may have some people that are interested in picking up our couches before we toss them. This is a great chance for us to declutter a lot of messy things and anything that is old and archaic i am going to get rid of, like all of my old CD’s and DVD’s. I actually have spindles full of viruses and things like that which serve absolutely no purpose at all. I had a lot of those to play around prior with security or to see what they did but now most computers do not even come with a drive. We spent the evening cleaning up most of the basement and we moved the main server into the server room. It seems to be online but I can not see it, so I am going to need to figure out what the problem is with the server. I am too tired to deal with it right now and the KVM switch is coming on Friday so that in theory would be the best time to fix it. I struggled a bit with setting things up in there, and once i log onto the server directly I can see what the problem is. I had thought that I had written scripts to take care of the problems and they did work, but for some reason this time they did not.
