Today something interesting happened. God spoke to me. I was considering buying a battery powered snowblower earlier this year and was discussing it with my neighbor. Anyone that knows me is aware of how super religious I am. I have a collection of rosaries that I look at every once in awhile. They are too precious to actually use as I do not want to wear them down with the oils from my hands. Especially the one from the holy land. But today I recieved a message from a deacon endorsing the battery powered EGO that I was considering. If that is not a sign of God speaking to me, I do not know what is. Probably one of the clearest indicators that I have ever seen. When they go on sale then I think that we will get it and get rid of our large gas powered one. I think that my sister could probably use it. She lives in a condo in Toronto on the 8th floor facing towards the lake and snow accumulates on her balcony. With this machine she can clear all of the snow and if the wind is right it may disperse towards the lake. If not it will drift onto other people’s balconies, but at least hers will be clear. It is a win win for everyone as she never wants to shovel the snow off the balcony. Out of all the ideas I have had this is easily in the top 100,000.
Last night I slept well as I was able to superheat the room to a comfortable level. Mel was probably too hot, but if we ever move back to Vietnam she should be ready for this. I am not sure if all the houses have AC. Olivier might struggle a bit with the temperature there as he is probably more French Canadian than Asian so he prefers the cold. Right now though I seem to be eating a bit less than what I normally do. It seems that the one last bite is just a bit too much, if I wait 10 minutes then I think it is ok, but I have not risked it. Things for the most part were back to normal. Mel wanted to plant her garlic for next year and I had some free time at RHP so I decided to go buy some things at Superstore so Mel and I would not need to go afterwards. We had planned on having breakfast for dinner so I wanted to try and help her out. What I realized is Superstore is huge and this was my second time there, but this time I used a cart so I could lean on it at least. I could not find fruit that was a good price or was nice so I opted to go to Smith’s. Going towards the checkout at Superstore I could feel the exhaustion in my legs and they were getting sore. I decided to go to Smith’s and I was so tired with my limited walking that I was done and went to RHP. I can not believe how tiring all of that was, but I managed to do it. When we got home I told Mel I would need help with dinner. I made the sausages and she made the pancakes. I had to take a break after because I was tired. My taste buds are coming back, but I could not taste any sweetness from the maple syrup. This morning I had made garlic fried rice but messed up with the soy sauces and it was too salty to eat. Such a rookie mistake. I ate about 1/5 the bowl and thought it was quite inedible. I will try again tomorrow I think. Today has been a great day and I think that I am setting myself up well for next week. I have such a poor memory that I will forget how bad this week was and Mel will tell the oncologist on me. It is probably for my own good.
