I seem to be ok now and am very careful when moving from bed. When I get out of bed I slowly go around to the end of the bed and sit there for a little while before I move on. Things seem to be getting better. It was suggested I protect myself with a helmet. Mel thought I should wear my bike helmet, but I think my goalie mask is better as it will protect my teeth in case I fall down. My calories are doing ok as I have not dropped any weight but since I am bit more active I need to figure out how to increase my caloric intake a bit more. I think I will start eating wings more often and fun stuff like that. I can eat 3 meals and a minimum of 3 snacks during the day. I still can not drive, but I have gotten use to that. The last time I fainted it was a bit scary as there were no warning signs.
I have been doing tai chi at home now in order to increase my movement and so I do not sit around all the time. Going to hockey helps as well. I went to RHP with Xavier for his 1:1 sessions and it was not too bad. I was able to sit for most and get up and watch him play a bit. His pads right now fit him perfect, but his custom ones may not come in until February so he may need a temporary pair to hold him over. We will see what happens. As long as he does not grow then it will be all right.
My parents always offer to make me food and they will make some of my favorite things and bring it over. My mom wants to sit here when Mel is not home in case something happens, but I think I am ok. I send a text to Mel every couple of hours. So far she has not come here to just hang out but I appreciate the gesture and the food. I told her she can come bring me lunch and then stay half a day, but all day seems quite long. While my mom brings main courses, my mother in law brings desserts and things for the kids and for Mel. It is appreciated as we have a nice mix of food all of the time.
