Last night I was able to sleep throughout the whole night. The head of the bed and the foot of the bed is elevated which helps with my sleep but makes it hard for Mel to sleep. That is all right though, we take turns on having the bed flat and then having it up. I also realized that when I cook in the kitchen, it takes quite a lot of energy out of me. Eating is getting better, but I need more calories than what I am currently eating I think. I am going to need to think of ways to increase my intake. It has not been too difficult to think of soft food to eat. There is a lot of food that is soft and is tasty. I told Mel to pick up some of the cabbage rolls and perogies from the Ukrainian church as they are soft and tasty.
The boys still fight on occasion and then you hear screaming trying to defend themselves when someone inevitably gets hurt. What normally happens is Xavier will be sitting there watching TV or playing the Nintendo switch and Olivier comes along and thinks it is funny and fun to try and sit on his brother’s head. He may put a pillow on Xavier’s head but his goal is to sit on his brother’s head. Xavier will then defend himself and may accidentally push Olivier too hard or punch him trying to push him off. Cue the crying with one brother saying he was getting hit and the other saying he was being assaulted.
I walk to the end of the cul de sac on our street now and then back. Hopefully by next week I will be able to walk around the block. It surprises me a bit on the energy expenditure when I go. You do not realize how much of your core you use on daily activities until you have your muscles sliced through. I am not sure if my fatigue is from the core or from the deficiency of calories.
