Early in July I started the process of getting Xavier’s goalie mask wrap done. It is now late September and we do not have a design yet. Initially I was informed that it would take 10 days and I had not heard back for a very long time. We had to start the process over…
The way that they show relationships and things within the Chinese shows is rather amusing. It is reminiscent of adolescent love the way that it is presented and acted out. A confession of any sort of affection is seen as a really big deal and there are next to no public displays of affection. I…
Mel loves to watch Hallmark style movies all year long. It has progressed from Christmas movies to things that have been released throughout the year. They tend to be feel good stories with no real “bad guys” with generic storylines. I always tease her about it but lately I have been just as bad. I…
I have yet to hear back about my PET scan on whether it will happen or not. My colleague has informed me that the radiologist believes that there is no reason for it to be declined. That is a bit reassuring, but I am not sure if I am getting more anxious about those results…

Yesterday I received a phone call from the hospital. One of my doctors called me to inform me of the cancer and to make sure I was aware. Our of all the doctors that I have this one is the most pragmatic and lays out the facts as they are. No sugar coating. Nothing. This…
I had to go buy some groceries today for dinner and for lunches tomorrow. As I was entering the grocery store a random guy asked me to buy him food. I declined and went in and bought everything that I needed. As I was heading out in saw him sitting there and I thought, why…
I spend a lot of time at the arenas. Every time Xavier has hockey it is a 3 hour commitment as he likes to be at the arena at least an hour early. On Saturday he was on the ice for 3 hours straight and Mel asked me if I wanted to come home. I…
