Out of all the wives that I have ever had Mel is by far the best one that I have had. Yesterday we were watching some TV with the kids and I had mentioned that I was not comfortable when sitting by the fireplace. I tend to sit next to the fireplace using some of the cushions that the kids have. At one point I did not feel great and thought that I might need to vomit and Mel mentioned that when she had her legs tucked up a bit then she would not feel great at times. When I straightened my legs it felt much better. This tracked with what I would do and sit up in my bed with my legs out straight. When my body was in this approximately 90 degree position I felt comfortable.
This morning we got up bright and early to go watch our nephews hockey game. With Xavier’s hockey schedule it is difficult to find a time when we can go watch them play. As Mel was the one that planned this and we left much later than if it would be just Xavier and myself. As Xavier and I do not like being late and build in contingency plans this morning we ran into an issue. There is a Tim Hortons by our place and I always put in mobile orders. I can order and by the time we arrive there it is ready. I sent Mel in as I was driving. That was the first mistake. Mel has bad luck when we pick up take out food. For some reason if there is going to be a mistake with an order it is always hers. She went to pick up our order and there was none. She was walking to the cash and I was like what the hell and went in. The store said that there was no order and I showed proof of the order. It took them about 20 minutes to try and figure it out and get our food. They ran out of eggs and had to wait to get more. This resulted us missing the first hour and youngest child’s ice time. Mel likes to plan for things to work out well and it does not always happen. She actually showed up late to Xavier’s game yesterday and by the time she arrived we were up by 2 goals and 5 minutes had passed in the first period. This is why Xavier does not have trust in her leaving on time and pushes her repeatedly. Xavier and I leave early and when something goes wrong we have enough time for contingency plans. People think that Xavier is so calm because on the ice that is his persona, but he is quite high strung off the ice and constantly worries about everything.
The food from Tim Hortons was subpar compared to normal. It was the first time I purchased a wrap but it seemed like it was all wrapping with very little filling. Mel got it as well and said that normally they fill it more. After eating a couple of bites of just tortilla wrapper I did not feel well as it sat heavily in my stomach. I could not eat again until mid afternoon because of how it felt in my stomach. When I start the day eating like that it messes up my food intake for the rest of the day and I need to take extra care to make sure that I do not eat too much. I will eat less than I normally do so I do not push it too much. Even now in the evening I do not feel awesome with my stomach and feel a bit queasy. My breakfast sat heavy and it will stay there for the rest of the day. Tomorrow I see my oncologist followed by physiotherapy the next day at the hospital. Hopefully someone has some answers and my scans are negative.
