I was a bit concerned because the first call I received was for my Chemotherapy appointment being moved to Wednesday. This can only happen if I have my port removed and another one put in and a PICC line inserted. A couple of hours later I received a phone call that I would have my port removed on Monday. I am assuming that they will replace it with another one. I am not sure how conscious I will be during this procedure and they said that I need to fast. The other time I did not need to. I am going to see if it is the surgeon that I had the other couple of times doing the procedure and if so then I can find out more information and see if I actually need to fast. If I am required to fast this cuts out 5 meals that I would normally have in that time frame. We are in the process of getting clarification as best as we can for this right now. I have recently received a phone call indicating that I will indeed be having a port replacement on Monday. I am quite lucky because that means that I am being prioritized over someone else. I bought some a small gift in the event that I have the same surgeon. He is a big Star Wars fan, so I grabbed some blind mystery lego sets and an X-Wing as a gift for him. My sister in law indicated that he goes to Disney World all of the time to the theme park and has all sorts of memorabilia such as light sabers and things, so having a small lego piece I am sure he will appreciate.

I had wanted to build the hurdles today when I had some free time, but I had a lot of meetings and things to do today so I did not get a chance to do it as of yet. There are things that I did not consider when I was buying everything yesterday so we will need to see how well this turns out and whether I need to go back and buy more, I will be able to for sure make 1 hurdle for sure and perhaps 2 if I measure things properly. The days go by so quickly that it is hard to fit everything in. The good thing is that my energy levels seems to be increasing and Mel thinks that I am gaining weight in my face and my complexion is getting better. Eating wise I am still trending ok with my liquid consumption. The fact that we need to boil water makes things a bit trickier for us and we have been avoiding trying to use too many things that we need to hand wash. I changed my meals to accommodate that today. Our meal tonight will however force us to use some pans. I will weigh myself again tonight to see how much of an increase I am having. I did not sleep well last night and was up every hour, from 2 to 6am, but I do not feel too tired, nor do I feel the need for a nap. I am feeling quite rested. I am not sure if it is because I had a high dosage of steroids yesterday and I will crash, but I took a lower dosage today to help wean me off. Next week I think I will try and follow up with Spain to see if they received any results. I will also update them tomorrow on the port situation so that they are aware of all the fun stuff that is happening with me.

QHM

This afternoon I was inundated with calls from the hospital scheduling things.
