The kids like the mushrooms and I will make them cheese, mushrooms, shallots, garlic and bacon omelettes. Xavier has his omelette with 3 eggs, Mel and Olivier with 2 and I will have 1. We also bought some sourdough bread to have with it. This morning I managed to make breakfast. It took about an hour to do all of the prep, cook and making it for everyone but I managed to do it and everyone enjoyed it. Cooking for me right now is very difficult because I can not taste things so it is hard for me to adjust things. Though this morning I realized that I could taste the cheese and butter which was a nice change. The texture of the mushrooms was a bit off for me as it is weird as I can feel the texture but it tastes like nothing to me.

Mel spent the day doing some outdoor work around the house, and we had to pump up the tires for truck as we have not used it for approximately a month now. Our neighbour from across the street came out to chat and it was pleasant chatting with him. We have an awesome community around us and he asked if we needed help with anything. We had told him we were good and he said if we ever needed anythiing that they were there to help. He offered me canes as he said he had some, but I think I do not need them. I need to manage my energy a bit better right now as I am still getting fatigue. I am not sure if the fatigue today was from me spending the time cooking. This afternoon at dinner I knew that I would not have the energy to make myself dinner standing up, so Mel brought me one of the counter stools over and I made risotto sitting down. I was able to accomplish it, but i do not think that I could have done it standing up the whole time. Mel made dinner for her and the boys, with one of the frozen chicken parm that people have purchased for us. She was planning on cooking some pasta and tossing it with some sauce. I told her that there would not be enough sauce and she would need to make some from scratch. I tried to guide her through it, but she said it was overly tomato flavour and lacked the depth when I normally make it. I can not taste things so it is hard for me to adjust seasoning and things. I tried to walk her through the process, but there are nuances that I just know and I norrmally cook it for 45 minutes or so to really help develop some of the flavours. My taste is slowly coming back and I think that I can eat more, but I realized that the more solid food that I am starting to eat now limits me more than what the pureed food and soup was like. I realized that I am missing the soft tofu, so my parents will be bringing me more tomorrow. We have a meeting scheduled with the doctors tomorrow and hopefully I can figure out this fatigue.

Q

We went to the market yesterday and bought mushrooms so we can have them for breakfast this morning.
