I am very glad that I live in Canada, where the drug only costs $3000 per dose and insurance covers most of it. Between my insurance and Mel we have it all covered. In the states it the range of the drug is $6000-$15,000.

· Chemo treatment went well. It was as much fun as the initial session. Not too tiring or anything. But silly me, the last combination of drugs they give me is a killer with the 24 hr bottle that I take home with me. I can see why they drip it slowly over time and do it at home. When I got home I was not feeling great and exhausted. Mel then asked if I took my steroids and I had forgotten. As soon as I took the pill I instantly felt better. Awesome placebo effect. My body knows the drugs work so my mind says I got it. Now I feel fine.

· Tingly feelings are back with cold sensitivity. First bite of food I get lock jaw then it goes away, so I need to remember to start with a small bite.

· The other side effect that was exciting was my hair falling out. I got to see how I look bald, and my skull has a nice shape.

· Energy levels otherwise are fine and no other complications so far.

Quoc Hao

Hello everyone Update for the last couple of weeks from my last treatment. · Last week I was suppose to have my chemo treatment, but the blood work came back that my levels were too low so they had to move it to this week. · My levels were still low on some things but they decided…

Read More “Second Treatment Update” »

[2

post-27","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-cancer-update
["GET
