For most of the year I had blood work or needles every week. Now I am not a fan of the needles. It brings me back memories of when I was going through treatment. For my bloodwork in the morning it was a nurse that I had previously and she remembered me so it was nice to chat with her. I still find it amusing that she remembers who I am. She had a student with her and we chatted for a bit and it came up that her nephew now works with me and is someone I actually know. The memory was nowhere near as bad as the experience and it was rather painless.

I had a CT scan at 9pm and I required needles for this as well. They used a device to find the vein and she thought that she had found a really good one. I informed her that she can give it a try but no one has ever been successful with that one. So far we are 0/20 with that vein. This was rather painless as well, but I still am not fond of the needles. I was in and out rather quickly as opposed to having to drink some of the fluid prior.

While we were at the hospital we ran into several friends and it was nice to see them again. One of them was a mother from hockey and the other was an old colleague that I use to work with. I am tired now.

Today I had a series of appointments for blood work and CT. For most of the year I had blood work or needles every week.
