I had chews in my pocket but did not think of taking them. I had to get Xavier’s skates sharpened and managed to do that and then go home. My parents brought dinner so it was not too big of a deal. I managed to eat the dumplings and they were not too bad. I should have heated them up but alas I did not. Xavier had a game last night in Capreol and we drove one of his team mates with us as his dad was not available to drive him due to a family emergency. After the game when we walked into the lobby I started to get quite a bit of pain in my stomach near my rib cage. The ascites build up was getting worse and started to get painful. This continued at home where it was difficult to walk around or sit in my chair. It was most comfortable when I was lying down. At this time I decided that I was going to try and have the permanent drain put in. I was quite hesitant to do it because I will not be able to take a bath, but at this point I do not care. When I physically look at my stomach you can see how much my belly is distended compared to what it normally looks like. It is far worse than it use to be so I think that I may need to get drained my often because it is not comfortable at all. When I weighed myself tonight though my weight has stabilized and it has not increased. All of my blood work was great today and I am good to go for tomorrow now. I have a lot of great friends who check in on me when they read that I am not doing so great or offer assistance. I appreciate it and it brings back fond memories of when I was younger. What comes to mind was I was at my friend’s house and I do not remember what we were building but him and his dad were yelling at each other during the whole thing. We use to get lectures from his dad all of the time when watching sports or TV. They were words of wisdom from the older generation.

My weight has stabilized like I thought it would. All of the fluid comes early and then it stops. I am not sure if it is stopping from lack of room or it can not compress any of my internals but when it happens it has not impacted my ability to eat. When I looked at the cameras today what I had noticed was the truck was gone. It seemed odd that the truck would be gone as I assumed that Mel would take the van. Well there was a problem with the door and now both of the back doors do not work properly. We will need to get this looked at and fixed but for now the van was sitting out front. There are a lot of valuble things in the van so I wanted to make sure it was locked. I managed to fix the door so it would close, latched and locked. We can look into fixing it properly later on this week. The downside is that I wore my indoor slippers outside to lock it so now they are dirty. We should look into getting a new vehicle but we are having some differences in opinion on what constitutes a family vehicle. I think we should go for a light weight car that we can lift if required with 4 or 6 people. Though I am a huge fan of the vans. I have done some things around the house and I am now tired. Movement increases the pressure on my abdomen and is a bit painful. The kitchen is a bit of a mess because Mel drove the kids out to Capreol for a practice and they will come home around 11pm. I made dinner today between everything that I had to do do that has drained my energy levels. I am going to try and help her out by doing the dishes, but I am not sure if I can. Tomorrow is a chemo treatment day where I sleep all day anyway so I might just push myself and deal with it. When Mel is not here there are a lot of little things that I need to do on my own. Reaching down compresses my abdomen so Mel would assist me in putting on my pants or socks. Back in the the old days I was able to jump into my pants in one smooth motion and land in my socks. With the new treatment that ability has left me. I have I think 10 minutes of energy now so I am going to grab some food and then try and do the dishes. Today should be my best day as it is the furthest from treatment day. If a normal day I have 100% capacity, bad days I have 50, I think on a day like today I am closer to 75% so this should be a piece of cake.

Q

Yesterday morning I was out and about and I was starting to get fatigued.
