I would have missed my appointment time if I would have waited for registration as I was only 30 minutes early and for some reason it is taking the clerks quite a long time for each patient. Later on in the day I ran into my favorite lab tech, the good one that i normally get and get and she said that there were a lot of complaints with her and that she should not be in there doing it. I tend to agree and I am not sure if I can have her do it again she was that bad. In the clinic today there were a bunch of patients who were there for the first time and I was chatting with them about treatmrnt and giving them advice on what to do for various things. My nurse told the person next to me to use Udderly Smooth and I mentioned that it is the cheapest at the pharmacy in there and to get it there. He ended up getting some there and maybe i will see him again in a couple of weeks. That will be week 3 for me. I chat with the nurses and volunteers on a pretty consistent basis and I think that they are all pretty awesome. It is so much easier to be nice to people and it does not cost anything. A kind word here or there makes all of the difference in the world. Treat others as you want to be treated.

When I first arrived in the chemo area I ran across one of my sister’s friends and we started chatting. Positive intent makes such a huge difference in outcomes and I believe that. We have the same surgeon and while he is a fantastic doctor he can be rather depressing when it comes down to things. That is ok though, because he is a really nice guy. He is just realistic and does not sugar coat things at all. I should make an appointment with him to go over my results and be all shocked. My ANC levels were a bit lower than I thought, as originally I thought the levels were 1.5 but it was 1.05 which is definitely low. I will make sure that tonight I wear a mask and avoid getting too close to people. It is just not super safe. In 4 days I have gone from 137 to 143lbs for my weight which is a clear indicator of ascites except this happened last time and then it stabilized. I will need to monitor this and see what happens in the future.

We had ordered Hello Fresh this week with the intent that the kids make dinner. That did not go so well as At 5:40 dinner was not made because Xavier was not hungry yet. I made dinner and used the ingredient as inspiration l, as if you actually followed the recipe it would not have turned out properly. Everyone liked it, but to me it was tolerable. The flavours were ok and I was made from kitchen, so not my absolute favorite. Tomorrow will be similar where I will take inspiration and break the rules. I thought of a method that I can change the texture of the meat, so I am going to give that a try tomorrow and see how that goes. It should be interesting to do. Xavier had heard back and he does have someone in his weight class now. He should go to practice this week so he is prepared for his fights this weekend. We have never done something like this before so it will be interesting to see exactly how all of this plays out. The schedule has not been published yet and we are waiting on that.

When Xavier has his hockey late I forget to publish my entry. I need to fix that.

Q

All of the regular people were in registration this morning but the person sitting off to the side was someone I know and she is always kind to me.
