Last night I was chatting with a friend of mine that has a lot of experience and he shared that he is teaching younger people his methods as he finds it more rewarding tha money. I tend to agree, that at some stage the money is not the driving factor anymore. I went back to the university for a lower pay because I recognized the opportunity to give back and initially i was surrounded with like minded people with a lot of experience. As time has gone by some of those people have stopped working there and went on to other adventures. I have not spoken to some of them for awhile and I should reach out to them. Over the course of the last couple of months I have had numerous appointments weekly as opposed to before when it was every 2 weeks. It has changed the way that I do work and people are hestitant to reach out to me because I know that they do not want to disturb me too much. The thing though is that I can help them out and it gives me a purpose and it is a distraction from things that bother me. The neuropathy in the feet is forgotten, and I notice the neuropathy in my hands as it impact my typing speed and accuracy, but I can still do it. Both of my kids spend time giving back as well. Olivier will help his colleagues at school with any coding assistance they need, while Xavier will always volunteer his time to help out young goalies. He remembers the lack of coaching he received so if he can help someone out he will. Or coaches telling him the wrong thing, like a well known goalie coach in Sudbury teaching him that he should be turning around and facing the back of the net while the puck is there. I still doi not know why they were doing that, as that is one of the rules that they try and break. Olivier received the results back from provincial testing and one of his lowest marks was in math. He told us that he was weak with fractions. Because of those results we are going to submit him to DNA testing to see if he is our kid. If he is not then we will probably end up disowning him, so if you are looking to adopt an Asian kid that is below average we may have one available. If he is our kid he will need to undergo serious training. He will need to learn how to activate his Asian super powers. It will involve no more tablets or entertainment and mathematic practice books as soon as he gets home until he goes to bed at a Chinese Education Center. Once he becomes average at 95% he can come home and only be required to do math for 4 hrs a night to maintain his averageness. His poor results are most likely because he is only half Asian. Xavier can pass as fully Asian more readily so he learned to activate his Asian super powers at a young age, most likely when we use to grill him in the vehide driving to hockey and while on the ice during practice.

I woke up this morning at 4am as it seemed like a wonderful time to get up. My sheets were all in disarray and it seems that during the night Mel tried to rip off my pajama pants. I wore thermal underwear as well as my PJ pants and for some reason my pants were partially off. The only explanation I have is Mel trying to cause confusion for me. When she gets hot she kicks her side of the blankets onto my side of the bed and then she says I turn and curl into a burrito with the blanket. With all of the extra weight she keeps on pushing the sheets until they are hanging off the bed on my side. She wanted some warmth and tried to steal my pants as a blanket and managed to get one leg off. So far today I have not been too tired and have eaten well for most of the day. It is national shawarma day so Mel is supposed to go get some shawarma’s, but she is working and may not remember and we will be left starving. I tried to pre-order but it is walk in only so it might take a while. This msy not work out the way that we had envisioned. So far this new treatment without alcohol is so much better than the other one that I was on. It is more manageable it seems than what I had before but tomorrow will be the ultimate test to see how it actually is as tomorrow is the roughest day. We are supposed to go out for dinner tomorrow night so if I can manage that and we can get home at a reasomable time everything will be awesome.

Q

As I get older I think it is important to give back.
