Yesterday I had received a phone call to come in change my appointment from 10:30 to 9:30. I had arrived early and I sat down at 9:05 and the nurse came told me that I was next and it should not be much longer. i did not get in until after 10. The doctor is someone I know and he told me on his schedule he had me for 10am. I prefer this doctor that I had today because he does it relatively fast. I can still feel the procedure and he just gives me 9 of freezing while last time the doctor gave me 30 which numbed me. It would not be an issue if I did not feel it, but i could so there was no real benefit from it. The drainage took a bit longer than i anticipated and I ended up leaving closer to 2:30. They moved i think around 5l this time and I lost about 7lbs or so of liquid. I can feel things shifting around still and there is a bit of discomfort, and Mel is telling me to take some Tylenol, but it is too far away. It is about 3 inches out of my reach from me so I can not take any at the moment, I will need to call my mother in law to come get it for me. She is always asking how. she can help and she has yet to deliver me flan or lobster thermador. The least she can do is give me a Tylenol. If I move some things around it is about an inch out of reach for me now. Still too far out of reach, as it is probably easier for her to drive here and get it for me then me getting up or shifting my weight. I was also approved to take more steroids for the next two days to help me get through today and Thanksgiving. I will also need to take the sleeping pills to help counter the effects of the steroids. It does work as last night I did end up sleeping for 7 hours which is nice.

Mel is frantically cleaning up the house now and wants all hands on deck to work on cooking and preparing for tomorrow. I guess that we can work on that soon enough. We are not responsible for too much, just cooking the turkey, ham, mashed potatoes, some appetizers and a side or two. Mel had people bring desserts that I can not eat so she is going to make me a dessert that I can eat. When people offered what desserts to bring she chose things that she liked and knew that I could not eat because what i like does not fit her fall theme. Instead she is making me panna cotta which is Xavier’s favorite and why I chose it. I think that I will get up and start some prep for tomorrow, but I am tired. I think that soon enough I will go out there and start some of the prep work for everything and we will see how it all comes together. Luckily we have 3 ovens that we can utilize tomorrow. One for the turkey, one for ham and stuffing and then the other salamander for broiling the carrots. I will then glaze them in a maple butter. If there were not kids involved I would have introduced miso. I am tired and need to take a Tylenol so I can go into the kitchen and start all of this prep.

Q

I have a strong dislike for being late, or for appointments that do not start on time.
