Not in a zipper merge, but cutting across traffic. A couple of days ago there was construction on the Kingsway and it was down to one lane in each direction. Traffic was steady in both directions and moving, and a car tried to let in a vehicle that was trying to turn left into our lane, which required cutting across a lane where there were cars constantly going,, with this resulting in backing up our single lane even further. I get it if there was a gap and you want to let someone in, but with the lack of a gap I do not see why you would try and let someone in. IT deos not make much sense to me. I also dislike cars that do not pay attention with turning lanes, and either do not leave or flat out break the rules. Picking up Xavier, where Lorne and Elm street meet, there are signs displayed that indicate no left had turns, but vehicles still do it resulting in all cars behind not being able to move. By the Regent and Ontario intersection there is a oneway street where you see cars driving down it the wrong way, or cars turning left on the one way street from the right hand lane. Xavier is going to learn how to drive next year and I think that he will be fine, but Olivier worries me a bit sometimes because he does not pay attention. I would prefer teaching them to drive over Mel as the kids think that I am calmer. Mel also thinks that i have road rage because it annoys me greatly when cars do stupid things.

Tomorrow is a new treatment and I am a bit concerned on how things will be. i need to make sure that I have it in my head that everything will be awesome so that I do not trigger any effects that may or may not be real. I have felt a bit bloated today and my weight has been increasing but it may be due to my bowels. We will see what tomorrow brings, and I am prepared a bit better this time. I am bringing my baffin slippers that are polar proven. My feet are cold there so I will slip my ruby slippers on and tap my heels three times while saying there is no place like home. I will then fall asleep for the rest of the day. My eatin and drinking have been fine throughout this which is nice. Today we decided late in the day that we would have chilli dogs with our left over chilli from yesterday, but we needed buns. I decided to grab some after i dropped off Xavier for his private session at RHP. Earlier this week when Mel and I went out we did not grab a cart and I told Mel, wow did I ever feel that and I was tired. So obviously when I went to Superstore on my own you would think I learned. They do not have small baskets so I decided that I would just carry things in my hand. It worked awesome until I dropped the bread while grabbing some fries. At that point I realized that I was in a bit of trouble and loaded. everything in the shopping bag I had and slowly meandered my way out. Mel thinks that I walk like an old man and just kind of waddle. She is not wrong as I am 50 now and if this was the 1990’s I would be considering retiring now, but I need to keep on working to pay for Xavier’s hockey. I am sure that scouts will be in the stands and he is NHL bound and all of this money will have been worth it. It is common knowledge that NHL scouts frequant Sudbury arenas looking for talent. He has ice time out in Capreol this Friday from 9 to 10:30, the day after my treatment, so we will probably see if someone can drive him as Olivier is celebrating his birthday party with his friends. They are going to an escape room and then back to our place for a fire while cooking their meals. Hopefully they are careful and do not light each other on fire when Mel has her back turned. I would love to go watch Xavier but i am not sure if I can last that long and then drive home so close to treatment day. The safe choice is to get him a ride.

i love my sister, and today i saw two of her friends while shopping. One of them i have seen repeatedly, and she looked familiar but I could not figure out why i knew her and thought she was one of my past students. i said hi to her as i did recognize her this time. The other I saw on my way out and we chatted a bit before I went to the van. Growing up I was always known as being technologically savvy. We grew up with computers and all of that long before other people had them. While we were in Univeristy, the internet was not widespread and computers were not prevalent in all homes yet. My sister and I were taking a class together and it involved us making graphs. I obviously did not do it by hand and used the computer to make it. My sister did as well as she was comfortable using the computer, but when she got her assignment back the TA at the time told her not to have her brother do her work for her. She was quite livid and I was amused as if you know my sister, she would never let me do it for her and would do it herself. I would say that she was easily one of the hardest workers in that class. I would often use her notes to study with as I could not be bothered to do that and she would give them to me before she went to bed and I would read them over once or twice and then go to bed. It was quite unfair to assume that my sister could no do it. After the TA made that remark and even after I tld them that she did it on her own she refused to do it on the computer and would do it by hand instead. She had to go through school living in my shadow and my younger brother probably had it worse trying to follow the two of us.

Q

i have an annoyance for a lot of Sudbury drivers, and one of the things that I hate the most is when people try and be nice and let people in.
