I hsd treatment today snd it went well with just the one drug, but I also had the benadryl and steroid. Mel asked if I needed it and they verified that I did indeed need both of them. I do noit mind taking them though, it just impacts me a bit more. Getting just the antibody and not the chemo does not impact me as much though. While there we saw a bunch of people we knew including one of my old bosses. On ou way out we stopped and chatted with her briefly while they were there with a family member. This morning I forgot to take my pills so I ended up taking them later in the day. I may need to schedule some an appointment wuith my optometrist about my eye sight to get this resolved. i have been eating quite well today and will get in 8 meals in before i go to bed. i need to take a sleeping pill tonight.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
i just mentioned something to Mel that she takes for granted, but is a huge deal for me. When I am feeling well I can get up right away. I do not need to wait a minute or so to get iup and just stand up right away. It seems so minor but mentally it is a huge thing as i feel more like myself then. Today while I was napping in the afternoon I was dreaming that I could see steam coming from underneath my sheets that I was super warm, but I did not care. I woke up a bit sweaty, I was not drenched but I was sweaty and I kind of liked the fact that I was warm. My parents dropped off food and my mother made the meat a bit crispy and it was delicious. She also made this oil that has garlic and crunchy shrimp that is awesome. So I had a small bowl of that and then an hour later I had some congee, salted egg and fermented bean curd. My cousin sayd it is peasant food but she loves it as well. We use to eat it growing up when we were poor. There was also a pickled vegetable we use to eat as well and I asked my sister if she remembers what it is. She will get back to me and tell me.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I appreciate the people who go to the cancer center as support and are there for 4 or 5 hours. The chair that I get is super comfortable. The one that Mel has to sit in is not comfortable and I realized that more today because I was in far better condition today and I looked at her chair and I thought, wow do those chairs suck. The support people go and do not complain or necessarily bring that up. I think that at times those are they are impacted but need to suffer in silence because it does not seem like something that you want to complain about when someone is actively going through cancer treatment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Melanie was talking to the her mom and one of our nephews has a kid that keeps on dropping the F word to the teacher in class and for punishment they removed his desk. Xavier laughed and said what kind of a punishement is that. Olivier was horrified and would never break ruls likes that. For all of his faults, disrespect to preople in positions of power or elders is not one of them. The kid had a unique name and Mel thought it was made up and Xavier’s equivalent was Suzanniel, which can be male or female depending. Suzanniella is female and Suzaniello is male. I do not know how that child comes up with some of this ridiculousness but it does entertain me greatly when he does come up with that. Olivier spends a lot of time singing in the house, and his voice is not bad. He ranked who is the best to worse in the house and Xavier is ranked higher than Mel even though he never sings. Xavier does whistle a lot throughout the house though. I do neither in the house now. Mel is not a great singer, Olivier I enjoy listening to him sing, I shoud record it like we use to do dfor Xavier when he was super young.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
