The parking lot was absolutely packed this morning and my energy this week has been down a bit compared to what it has been previously. I think that I was doing much better until about mid-way through August and since then I have regressed a bit. Things are a bit more difficult now as I need time to transition between things. I think this evening I realized that eating right before I shower might not be the best idea as it leaves me tired when i cam showering and afterwards. My weight is stable and has not increased, so perhaps some of this weight gain is real. My vision is a bit weird at the moment, if I do not put my glasses on completely but hold them 4-5inches off, basically the length of the arm, they are super clear, but when I put them on completely it is blurry. The cancer nurse told me to monitor it and go get my eyes checked if required. What I also noticed as well is I can use my laptop without my glasses if I put it a bit closer to me. This morning as i went to the cancer center I saw several vehicles parked in the accesible spots without the proper permit. What annoyed me even more about it was there was a man in the vehicle waiting for his wife that came out as i was walking to pay. Just because you are waiting does not mean that you can take this space. i was in a cranky mood as i went to register so i figured that I should do something nice for someone instead and picked up something from Tim Horton’s for the lab tech who has always been super nice to me. After registering and chatting with her about my annoyance she was telling me about how she was in the grocery store and a customer called out someone in line paying for taking up the accessible space. The woman tried to defend herself saying there was no signage where the other woman called bullshit about the painted spot with the clear signage right there. i am not sure if I would call someone out over it as i am as weak as a 5 year old so would easily get pummelled. i was planning on going to preassesment but the registration clerk had told me that my appointment was at 2:15, and that i could come back then. i said i would not, and i meant that they had moved it to a phone call so I did not have to go in. i appreciate the nurses listening to me. When she called she asked me about my urine sample and i had said that i had brought one in, but the paperwork indicated that I did not need it. i had one from a couple of days earlier so they were going to use that one. When the nurse came for hydration there were some protocols that she did not seem aware of, such as both of us having to wear a mask. She also said that she could insert the needle with me sitting up and I told her that the nurses at the cancer center always had me lie down. Shr struggled and could not get it in properly and wanted to pull it out and use the same needle again and i said no to use a new needle. The needles work best with the initial insertion and afterwards you can feel it differently. i asked her to use a different needle and I told her I was going to lie down for tej next one. She inserted it without issue and started the 4 hr drip with the pump.

My food intake has been fantastic as I have managed to eat quite a lot and frequently. Textures are not as bad today, but I stuck with things that I knew would be a bit safer. Today I managed my 3 times eating in the morning, 3 times in the afternoon, but only 2 times in the evening, but that is more because of me messing up in the kitchen. I was cooking something and Xavier told me it was burning, but he was just kidding, so i ignored him. He told me again and I ignored him again. I should not have and ended up burning my food and having to start it over again. For most of the day I have felt good, but as the day progresses I need to manage my energy levels. I think things should be fine for the rest of the week.

Q

I had to go in for bloodwork for the second time this week as prep for my treatment tomorrow.
