Growing up I always hated this time as we would need to go shopping for clothing and supplies. I was not a fan of clothes shopping so I did not like doing this and for the binders and things my parents would get what is on sale. When we were young it did not really matter as there was not much difference between things and I am not sure if the Mead 5 Star stuff existed or not. When the boys were young we would drag them out and do this, but as of yet we have not brought them to buy things. Xavier can take care of himself so I think he knows what he needs and hopefully he will tell us.

You would think that eating today would be improved, but it has not. It is difficult to say whether it is the drainage or a texture thing but as long as I eat soft foods it is fine. A lot of textures is not very pleasant for me at the moment and I can still feel things shifting a bit internally. It is nowhere near as bad as it was yesterday though, but today I had a bit of a headache. I am not sure if it is from lack of eating properly or not though. The other day I had thinly sliced up some potatoes and pan fried the in roasted garlic oil and butter. I think that I am going to do that again as the crispiness of the potatoes sits well with me and I know that I can eat it. I just need to make sure that it is not too salty and things will be grand. I should add some chives to it for added deliciousness. Tomorrow morning I will make some baked beans to eat and Xavier is all excited to have some as well. I should add some of the skirt steak that I made earlier to it to add in some more protein. The meat will break down in there. I am curious what impact that flavour profile will have on the meat. I am approaching the time where it has almost been 1 year since I found out again that the cancer has returned and most people that have seen me recently think that I look rather good. I feel much better now normally than I have in the past and I am gaining more strength in my legs from walking around a lot more. Mel and I went and shopped around a bit today for our renovations and I had a bit of a headache. Mel would ask my opinion on something, I woaud reply I do not care and for her to choose. She woud then not like my choice and over rule and keep on asking me. I would then reply that I did not care and she could choose whatever. I want my office to be red, but we disagreed on the colour of red. I would have gone with a bright rescue red, but she did not like that went with two shades of maroon. She asked Xavier and I which ones we preferred and we liked the lighter one. We both chose Parisian Red and she liked one that was more blood ox coloured. She would understand more if she was born in Paris like myself, but she just does not gravitate towards it.

Q

Summer is almost over now and school is about to start again with the kids.
