I thought that I would be more tired today with the lack of sleep, but as it has been, it has not been too much of an impact on me which has been nice. I seem to be able to get by on not too much sleep. Working today was not too heavily impacted, but time seems to go by so quickly. In a blink of an eye half of the day has gone by. I think the fact that I eat every couple of hours makes time go by a lot quicker. I have my laptop announce the time every hour and people have gotten use to it and make fun of me for it, but it helps keep me on track with eating. I normally eat on the half an hour so it tells me to go prep food and then I can eat afterwards. We will see what the impact is tonight on my sleeping. I anticipate that I am still going to struggle a bit today still. I seem to be able to eat more today as well. Mel had an idea this afternoon of cooking hot dogs over the firepit for dinner. I agreed to it but it had been light spitting during the afternoon. I went out and started the fire at 4pm and did some work from under the pergola. I managed to eat two hot dogs as well as a smore, which is an improvement to what I have been able to do in the past. I also grilled a piece of eggplant over the fire. No one else in the house likes eggplant besides me. In a bit what I will do is cook some eggplant for my later meal. I have not yet decided how I want to eat it yet though. There are a few options that I am unsure of, and I will decide in the moment. There does not seem to be much neuropathy and my hands seem to be much better today. Yesterday was a bit difficult to type and I made a lot of mistakes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
While we were eating, we were discussing going to drive ins with the kids and Mel and I said that the memories and the experience do not necessarily match up. You think that the experience will be awesome, but the view for the kids in the back seat suck. It is something that you think back with nostalgia but it is not great. Mel wants to stay in tomorrow and not have to go out since the weather is poor. We will make some dinner at home and hang out in the comfort of our own home. It should be a lovely day I think. Mel should have bought enough groceries for us to not have to go out. She bought some fresh figs which are delicious. We normally eat them on pizza or with a nice salad. I want to see if I can think of something else that we can make that the kids will like. We have made appetizers with them before where we stuffed them and wrapped them up in prosciutto with a balsamic glaze. When I had an AI analyze my posts for trends, one of the topics that always comes up is food. I think that every post I talk about food. A lot of times it is because I use it to monitor how much I am eating, but I like to discuss the ideas that we have for various food as well. We are going to have a movie night tomorrow and we had to decide what we will watch. The kids kept on telling us of these knock-offs because when they were in school they found a website that let you watch knock off movies so they kept on rhyming off some of them. We decided between Matrix, X-Men or Tokyo Drift for tomorrow night. Xavier does not like watching movies as much so it is difficult to get him to want to watch, but those ones have enough action for him. Olivier will watch movies for the lore and the underlying stories and history.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
My sister wants us to still go down to the CNE this weekend, but the wheelchair is not waterproof and I do not want to get it wet. It is because I am a delicate princess that needs protection. If the weather is better next week then we will go down then. I would like to go see my sister this summer. We only saw her briefly and we have only visited her once this summer and we did not get to spend much time with her. We went to a couple of restaurants and that is about it. I would not mind going to the CNE and possibly taking a massive detour to get some milk from Summit Dairy. It is delicious and we have not gone there this summer yet. There might be torrential downpour this weekend and I am curious to see if the drainage pipe can keep up. The city was supposed to come and change the draing and put up better meshing a couple of weeks ago. They have yet to come and we are still waiting. I have all of the cameras up so I want to see what it will like if it rains. I should bring in the Nest camera to charge so it is ready for tomorrow. Hopefully we can capture when and how it gets clogged.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
