That happened tonight as we had dinner at my parents and we had lobster. It was a bit much and then we drove home immediately were the roads are a bit rocky. I ended up vomiting in the vehicle and again when we came home. My stomach feels interesting now as if it is unsettled. I am not hungry now and will probably not be hungry for the rest of the evening but I will need to eat something as well as drink some fluids. I can touch things from the fridge now, but it is not pleasant and I can touch them briefly without pain. Prolonged exposure still hurts with the tingling. My weight has decreased since the last time that I weighed myself which would suggest that for the most part the ascites may not be a problem yet an I am not in a rush to go in and get drained. If my weight increases then I will schedule something in two weeks when I am done next weeks treatment.

The clean-up of the basement is still ongoing and Mel, her family and the boys have cleared it out completely. There are some things that they cleared out that I actually need and we do not know what boxes that they are currently in. Our garage is filled with boxes as is the upper floor. We moved some things over to my parents as well to store there while we clean everything up. Mel thinks that the cleanup will be quick but the renovations might take months. If the shower needs replacing and they demo that, then it means that we can not shower downstairs until that is all done. We do not know how long that is going to take. Hopefully not too long to get things done. I would prefer that the washroom is not too damaged, but we will see what happens. This damage is going to probably end up costing us tens of thousands as we will be buying 2 new couches, shelving for the office and a new desk for myself. I did not realize the extent of water damage to all of the things within the office. You can see the water causing the water to swell in a lot of the furniture. We were planning on buying some new furniture so it is not the end of the world for us. We will wait for a sale or when we see something that we love. With these renovations we will no longer be able to afford to get my private jet, which is a shame. I asked the boys today which direction that they would like to visit in Canada, out west or out east. As expected the two of them had completely different responses and for different reasons. Olivier wanted to go out East to explore the quaint some town and try and find hidden jems. He is all about the culture and exploring things. Xavier wants to go out west to ski or bike down the hill. His response is that there is more things to do out west compared to going east. I tend to agree, but in this stage going out east seems more appealing as I can not hike or do a lot of those things that Xacier wants to do so we would be splitting up. Olivier and i would do one thing and Mel and Xavier would do their own thing. Mel wants to think about this for next summer, which is interesting. So far it seems that I always have treatment and we are not sure what is going to happen week to week, or even from each month. Planning a visit out a year from now seems a bit daunting as it is so contingent on my health. Xavier wants to skip visiting Canada and just go visit Asia. Olivier wants to explore more of Canada first. Maybe my sister and Xavier will plan a trip the two of them out to Asia.

Tomorrow we will be leaving to go to the renaissance fair. Mel looked at the schedule so we will try and do everything that we want on Saturday and leave earlier on Sunday so that we do not get back too late. I think that it is a wise idea. I had thought they would do different things on both days, but if we do everything that we want on the first day I am not sure if we will go back on the second day as the things that do run concurrently may not be of interest. I have not looked at any of the details and will rely on Mel to do it. Olivier is excited to eat Tim Horton’s and fast food when we go do down. Xavier does not like eating fast food, nor eating out in general and will almost always choose to eat food that we have. I may need to buy some things for him. It is interesting because his favorite is simple. He would eat chicken and rice happily without much else. Right now with his braces it hurts him a bit, so I can understand the desire for softer food.

Q

Some things are getting better, such as the neuropathy in my hands and my food intake has been good, but the issue is that if I push myself a bit too much I will end up throwing up.
