It was such a fantastic idea! I went to bed and was up an hour later to go pee. I then tried to go back to bed but alas I could not. I had random thoughts popping in my head about absolutely nothing important and the most trivial things. I cleared my mind and focused on my breathing and normally I fall asleep super quickly, but I was not tired. I suspect it was due to the steroids. I then decided to try listening to my sleep mix. It was fantastic as I listened to it for 2 hours. I think I drifted in and out of sleep as there were songs that I missed when I looked at the playlist. Eventually I decided to go eat. Originally I was going to eat cereal and then I remembered how much discomfort and pain I had drinking my smoothie the night before and aborted right away and had rice instead. I had a lot of meetings and work today and had to venture out for a bit. I was wise enough to secure a ride as I thought that I was ok to drive, but was not sure if I could drive back home. My claim for the wheelchair was denied because they did not have the date that I purchased and received the wheelchair….even though it is impossible to enter a claim without choosing the dates, and I also included the invoice. I talked to them on the support channel and they revised it, I do not care if they reject it, but do not be rejecting it blaming me. The claim is supposed to be evaluated in 10 days and it is has been over a month. It seems that for high cost items they hope that people will forgot and it will just go away. It is a pain in the ass and it took a very long time for some other claims that I had put in. When I looked at how much they pay for my cancer drugs, they covered under $2 for a $1600 drug. I am not sure why as they are supposed to cover 80%. Mel’s drug plan is superior and actually covered the rest which was great. I also got a call for my PET scan and it is bright and early on Monday morning at 7:30am which should be fun. I will try and visit my friends in the area afterward. Since she reads my blog she is going to go “hide” and say she was busy. All because I told her about 15 years ago that I was going to deliver her a croissant bread pudding and then I was let go and never delivered. I am sure she is still holding a grudge about that. She only helps me out and does things behind the scene for me now. Nothing special besides that.

The neuropathy in my hands is so bad now. I can not take anything out of the fridge wthout hurting. Cracking eggs was painful because the eggs were cold so I smartedned up and wore my gloves and then put on my nitrile gloves on top to shield me. It ended up working quite well and I was able to cook everything. My parents brought rice to our house and I told them to bring it back home because I had cooked some rice. They also brought us 6 more salted eggs which I love and they last a while. Xavier likes them which is nice, while Olivier wants to try them but has not as of yet. The feet are about the same and I managed to keep them covered for most of the time. Eating has been great, as I think that the steroids are supposed to stimulate my appetite but I do not really have much of an issue with that part. We have also set a tentative date to go down to Toronto to have the lobster tower. I will make sure that we take photos of it. Once we can coordinate the families we will go down and I can eat my own or two pieces of lobster and everyone else can devour the rest of the food. We are planning it on the weekend we were going down for the renaissance fair as another family will be done there at the same time so it should work out. They have set menu’s and I am not sure if they allow substitutions or not. I am drinking something that came from the fridge and the coldness is slightly painful as it sends shooting needles down my mouth and throat. It is a wonderful sensation for those people who have experience trying to drink a glass of needles. Highly recommend giving it a try.

When I was prepping the documentation for the Nothing Machine I forgot that the instructions came on 10 foot stone tablets with the instructions written in Sanskrit because it is a perfect language. I am amused by a lot of the ridiculousness from back then. There was also a Secret Machine that we had sold with the company, buy it was not as awesome as the Nothing Machine. Over the last week I get at least 2 or 3 emails from people saying that they love my website and my business and want to help me get my Google SEO ratings up so I show on the front page. It is clear that they have not actually visited the website as it is basically my logo and a link to email. No one would have any clue what my business is. I should email them back and ask them what they like about my business and how they plan on getting it higher as my area of work is extremely niche. Specializing in Nothing. If I did not have legitimate stuff that I did with the company name I probably would.

Xavier has been posted on the instagram page of the place where he does the striking and BJJ and he is the largest one in the youth and one of the larger people in the adult classes. He is in the same weight class as they are. In some of the photos I have no clue how he is enjoying it as it looks like he is in choke holds. They told him that he is doing well and that he has a lot of potential. He is very quick on his knees due to the fact that he is a goalie and has a strong core. His transition from knees to standing is fast as that is something that translates well from hockey to this. He knows the fastest ways to get up and has lots of methods. With this training, his athletic therapy weekly and hockey his schedule now is just as hectic as when he was in season. The weekends are clear though as he is not competing in anything as he would get absolutely demolished with his lack of form.

Mel is outside planting her seeds and Olivier is out there with her. Olivier loves going to the mailbox and I knew that I had some mail from Health Sciences North and sent Olivier to go get the mail for me. I signed up for mail notification and Mel did not know that was a thing and she wondered how I knew when we had mail. I told her that she should sign up as it was awesome. I am not sure if she ever did. She likes to keep her mailbox clean just like everything in her life. For awhile she was all about things that spark joy and minimalism. If you ever see me not posting there is a high likelihood that she did not think that I am sparking joy, or she is downsizing and got rid of all 9 of my computers, laptops, tablets and cell phones and left me with a pen and paper. If it comes to that I will hand write and photocopy my blog and have Olivier mail them all out to people like the old days to all 500 of my readers.

Dr. Mach

Last night I decided that I was only going to sleep 2 hours.
